About

Hello, My name is Heidi Barnes. I have been married for 26 years and I am a mother of two grown boys. Three counting my nephew.

One day, at the age of 14, my homeroom teacher put up the daily journal prompt about haunted woods and a twig cracking in the silence. The students were supposed to finish that paragraph within the journal. I never stopped. It has take a few years, I won’t say how many because I don’t want to admit I’m that old, but I finally published some of the stories that have been spun from the floodgates that opened that day. I now have a series called Obsession in paperback and Kindle that I have self-published through CreateSpace. You can find these on Amazon.com.

Recently I have started to write poetry again and I have joined a couple of Free Writes that help keep the juices flowing and at times the muse happy. Some that even have blown into full blown stories. I’m still trying to decide if they will be published on Kindle or not. The short stories or poems will be posted here. Besides writing, reading and dealing with real life, I also garden. When I have projects or a particular vent about the cave trolls and venison (moles and deer) who decide to play in what I have worked so hard on, you will probably read them on here too. I don’t do political and try to stay away from religion because frankly, those two topics give me a headache. Too many people who say “I’m right your wrong” and can’t have an open mind. Just not worth it.

Anywho, other ways to see me are: Twitter , Facebook and Pinterest

Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you again soon. 🙂
