Give me time
to unlock what has been
closed for so long.
Hidden behind a door
thick and impenetrable.
Emotions locked away
kept safe from
those who wish me harm.
Teach me to trust
with senses dulled from pain.
Show me love
in its truest form
and maybe then
my heart will open
once more.
