Earth

Walking forwards,
the past behind me
the future unknown.
Hard lessons have been learned,
yet I know more are to come.

As winters melts
and spring is reborn,
I draw strength from the earth
under my toes.
The knowledge that
no matter how hard I fight,
how hard I deny,
life will keep moving forward.
It is my choice whether I move with it
or stay locked in time,
forever lost in pain.

I chose life,
because deep inside I know
that death is a step towards
something wonderful,
something more.
Like the cycles of the earth
where the winter is harsh and cold,
the plants and animals sleep
a dreamless sleep
until spring begins anew
and their journey resumes.

One day it will be my turn,
and as my bones nourish the earth,
giving back what has been taken,
I know I will see you again,
in another place,
another time
smiling at me with that special smile
all my own.

The grass under my toes
roots deep and firm,
feed me strength so I can carry on
until that day we are together again.
My heart heals,
life returns.
I am ready,
I am reborn
into the circle of life once more.

Say Something

I watched as you stumble

Caught you when you fell

But you pushed me away.

You played at being strong,

Your eyes show your pain.

I tried

Time and time again

Until there was nothing left

And I still stayed.

Slowly sinking into your trap

Losing what was once me

So you can survive one more day.

As I turn away I wait

For something

Anything.

Please

Say something and I will stay

For even after all the darkness

We have been through

I still love you

Even as I say goodbye…..

Prevail

We Heart It
We Heart It

We fight for what is right.

We fight for hope of all living kind.

We fight for the right to choose our own destinies.

We fight for life,

And most of all

We fight for love,

But what if it is not enough?

What if, in the end,

What we fight for is not what we thought?

What if the cost is too great?

What if….

In the fight for freedom

We lose that which is most important.

Ourselves.

Do we lay down our arms?

Let those who seek to control

All they see, all they know,

Take what is not rightfully theirs?

In your arms the horrors around us

Cannot touch me.

I am safe for you are my strength,

My soul,

As I am yours.

As long as you are by my side

Together can withstand anything thrown at us.

Misery

Famine

Fire

Loss.

All will crumble into dust.

Hope will win out

And those who oppose us

Will crawl back into the darkness whence they came.

No longer burning with rage

But weak with the despair they sought to give.

We shall rise triumphant.

Our wounds will heal,

Our hearts mend.

We will make sure that those who wish to dominate

Will never again step foot on our land,

Or the hell they wish to descend upon us

Will be returned tenfold,

Because our hope

Our strength

Our love

Will always be stronger.

In the end

We will always prevail.

To Hope for Forgiveness

1378114-bigthumbnail

Ignorance breeds anger

Anger breeds distrust

So I walk away.

Understanding comes slowly

Remorse with sorrow is pain filled

Forgiveness a dream

Yet hope blooms eternal.

Warm hearth beckons

Will transgressions be forgotten

Will the door open

Or will it remain firmly closed

Love forever out of reach

Ending life as known

While darkness descends

Eternally

Fate Foretold

 154411

However hard I fight the inevitable,

strain against what fate has foretold,

I cannot stop what the feel of your skin

does to me.

Your lips soft

your touch tiny pinpricks

shivering across my skin.

Deny it,

rebel against it,

it does not matter.

In the end

I will always be

in body, mind and soul

yours.

Crumbling Walls

Thoughts forbidden

Nudge through barriers

Finding cracks and crevices

Burrowing deep

Until walls crumble to dust

Opening new holes

Releasing ambitions denied

Flooding dreams with

With fantasies bold

Until reality blurs

And destiny is born

Believe in Love

Throughout our lives

we dream of love.

One that is pure

fulfilling

eternal.

We search

for that one person

who will fill our souls

with peace

joy

completeness.

Some of us find that love.

Build our lives around it,

full of happiness

comfort

serenity.

Some search forever.

Seeking that one who will

fill the void in their heart

that aches with loneliness

anger

dispair.

Never realizing that in order

to love another,

you must first learn

to love yourself.

You must be brave

strong

accepting

to the possibility that

pain is a part

of love.

Love is there

if you only open yourself

to the idea

even though it is not

perfect,

it is real,

and it is yours for the taking

if you only

believe.
