I try to understand,
To forgive myself for what I have cause,
To not blame you.
I try to hold onto the love that binds me to you,
But sometimes it is too much.
Sometimes the self-loathing hinders me,
Blinds me to the truth.
Sometimes  I am not sure I can remember,
That you are my life,
My soul,
My love.
Sometimes I wonder if it is enough,
That you can ever forgive me,
That you still love me as I love you.
