Love this wonderful self affirmation … great write Heidi! What makes it so great is that a person can put themselves into it and project what “it” is that you are not afraid of because you do not give it/them a name. I will visit it often when faced with self doubt or fear of something … like submitting my piece for Writing Outside the Lines! I quake each week because you all are sooo talented and I am just a fledgling .. your poem gives me strength … brilliant
Thank you. 🙂 If you are just a fledging with your writing then you’re doing pretty damn good. It doesn’t matter how long we’ve been writing, we all doubt ourselves when we publish something knew. Pray that people will like it, or understand it. Poetry is something rather new to me. I’m used to writing novels. But I keep trying and praying it will resonate with someone. Keep up the good work! 🙂

I see something and it triggers a thought or a sentence pops into my head and won’t leave me alone until I write it down and it goes from there. This one I’m not going to say because it can go so many different ways and I don’t want to ruin that.
