Fire On January 12, 2014 By HeidiIn Poetry Desktop Nexus Flame washes over Devouring greedily Hunger so vast Only time slakes. Blacken char Withers what could be Famine strikes out Fueling need. Seeking what once was Despair overshadows. Darkness descends Hope dwindles As night creatures feed. Eyes wide open Dawn rises Survivors pray Today is unknown The new world displayed. ~ © 2014 Heidi Barnes Share this: Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Like Loading...
