Crumbling Walls

Thoughts forbidden

Nudge through barriers

Finding cracks and crevices

Burrowing deep

Until walls crumble to dust

Opening new holes

Releasing ambitions denied

Flooding dreams with

With fantasies bold

Until reality blurs

And destiny is born

Destiny – Love Unbound

Nexus Desktop
Nexus Desktop

We join as one

Heart, body and soul

I am yours as you are mine

But we are not alone

Love encompasses those who show

Loyalty, strength

Above all willingness

To open their minds and hearts

To possibilities unbound

To love thrice found

Growing each day

New surprises as power is displayed

We learn together nothing is beyond our reach

Nothing is impossible or will be denied

So we ease into this new world

Of lies, hate, betrayal

A world where pain forges alliances

As well as foes

We will survive

With strength in numbers

With strength in mind

And above all else

With strength in love.

Do I Know You?

Do I know you?
You seem familiar.
As I stare into your eyes
so clear
I know somewhere,
some…time,
I have seen those eyes
that sees into my soul,
laying everything bare
at your feet.

Do I know you?
Oh, this is so ridicules!
I mean,
I have heard of this.
Others meeting someone,
someone they have never met before
yet somehow instantly recognize.
They call it
love at first at sight.
But that is only in fairy tales
fantasy.
None of it is real…
is it?

Do I know you?
Have we met before?
At some party,
some other place
other….time.
Can it really be true?
That we live other lives,
each one a new experience
a new lesson,
yet in those lives there is that one person,
that one soul,
who will always follow us,
waiting for that moment
when they finally find the one they seek.
Is it always like this?
So sudden,
so unexpected,
so…final?

Do I
know
you?

This was from a dream I had a while back. One where my family member that had passed on were all there. But there was one person who I did not know yet they were very familiar. Like I should know them. This poem comes from that feeling of knowing and comfort even though you may have not ever seen them before.

Believe in Love

Throughout our lives

we dream of love.

One that is pure

fulfilling

eternal.

We search

for that one person

who will fill our souls

with peace

joy

completeness.

Some of us find that love.

Build our lives around it,

full of happiness

comfort

serenity.

Some search forever.

Seeking that one who will

fill the void in their heart

that aches with loneliness

anger

dispair.

Never realizing that in order

to love another,

you must first learn

to love yourself.

You must be brave

strong

accepting

to the possibility that

pain is a part

of love.

Love is there

if you only open yourself

to the idea

even though it is not

perfect,

it is real,

and it is yours for the taking

if you only

believe.

Makes Me Happy

To write

Put into words what I see

What I feel

To watch the words form on paper

To weave a tale

That excites the mind

Takes the reader to a place

Far from their existence

Into a world of make believe

Where monsters bring evil

And white knights wield light.

Where love is true

Forgiving

Always bending

Binding

Never judging

Demanding

Encompassing those who

Are willing

No matter the price

To give everything

Anytime

Anywhere

Forever

To weave a such a tale

Is what makes me

Me

What makes me happy.

Betrayal’s Payment

darkness

You pull me into your embrace
Yet I feel no warmth.
You whisper words of love
Yet my heart shrivels and dies.
The air around me grows thick
My breathing comes in gasps
As I sink to the cold stone floor
As darkness surrounds me
Smothering me
Too late I realize what is suddenly so clear
You are not my love come back to me
The one my heart and souls calls for in the night
But evil incarnate come to claim me
To pull me down into the depths of hell
For my betrayal is too deep
And there is no God or Angel who can save me
Only the Angel of Death can release me
Yet even he turns his back in shame and disgust
Leaving me to the one who will own me
Use me
Until I scream for a mercy that will never come
Until you forgive me for what I have done

Pounce

I will pounce thee

And you will submit

My fur on point

My claws razor sharp

There is no place to run

No place to hide

You are mine

What a little bit of morning fun can create

Sunday morning a twitter friend of mine decided she would say good morning to me by “(dripping water on your forehead and saying in a sing song voice) good morning Heidi!! ( now running like hell) ; D”. This was after yelling my name then quietly saying hello the morning before. It was ON!

As you must have guessed by now, I am a writer. We writers write, among other things, action sequences all the time. “Joe walked across the room, grabbed Lisa into his arms and kissed her as if she was the air he needed to breath.” This is how we let the reader know what is going on in the story. On Sunday, it bled out onto Twitter. I chased my friend with my super soaker 300S. (There was not enough room for the 300S part so this will be news to her 😉 ) I brought in help from another friend and we played a game of hunter and prey, with a little Elmer Fudd thrown in for good measure. Maybe this all sounds weird and silly to you, but if I can make someone’s day better, make someone laugh or inspire someone to write then it is all worth it. It’s also a blast! We were both laughing, her day was much better and someone new to me wrote a haiku based on our antics.

I could never create a haiku. It’s one of those elusive things and I have a huge amount of respect to those who can do it. Here is the one that was created for me Sunday morning by @HapRochelle.

He has graciously told me I can use this as I wish for it is mine. He has also posted it on his website on this page. http://haprochelle.blogspot.com/2013/08/haiku-page-2.html Take a look around and see what else he as done. I also have him on my list on Twitter called Poetry Corner.

His words gave my muse something to grab onto and fly. Here is what I came up with from his wonderful haiku.

Through misty night

Trees so tall

the hills roll on

silent footsteps fall.

The prey is quick

crafty

small

but hunters push on

their minds resolved.

This trickster light of foot

needs lessons taught.

Sleep is fleeting

so leave the sleepers untouched.

Retribution is high

it’s blood they seek.

Tonight will be done

no more tricks

they will sleep.

Thank you Hap for the inspiration! And thank you Suz for making my Sunday morning fun.

Do You Fear the Night?

i-fear-the-night-tso-1

(Song lyrics from Epiphany, Nightcastle by Tran Siberian Orchestra.)

The darkness holds many secrets

Tales have been spun of evil

Searching for lost souls to feed their lust

I say be gone

For no evil lurks in the darkness

Only superstitious fools seeking

To control that which they do not

Understand

As I walk this path

Through mist and trees

As sound travels from twig and branch

Sight hindered by darken night

My mind wanders to tales of woe

Of fairies and pixies playing tricks

To lure the unsuspecting

To deaths veiled door

Suddenly those I scoffed

As charlatans and liars

Who warn us

Beware of nights promised delights

With beginning dread

Words become true

When eyes so bright

Surround me whole

And darkness descends tenfold

I realize then there is no hope

For prayers and song will not bring

Valiant knight to save my soul

I am lost

My story’s end unfolds

I Believe You

You claimed me

Made me yours

Then tossed me aside

Breaking me

Forever lost

All to save me

From something

I never understood

Nor cared to

Now you return

Telling me

It was a mistake

Stupid

That you did not understand

What you had

What you were doing

As I watch you

Watching me

The thing that scares me

The most

Is that inside

Where my heart

My soul

Used to be

I believe you
